What to Expect

Chiropractic Care

Chiropractic care is like peeling layers to find the root cause of your symptoms.  In order for everything to work properly we have to get through multiple layers to provide the ground work for your body to build off of.  This means breaking through your symptoms to find the real problem.  Once we have treated the real problem the body can begin to build and repair itself as it was intended to do.  There are three phases of chiropractic care.

Phase 1: Relief Care

More than likely you are coming in because you are in pain and are looking for relief.  This phase of care does just that!  This phase will help prevent muscle atrophy and re-establish pain-free range of motion.  This will depend on the severity of your problem, typically you will need care 2-3 timer per week for 4-12 weeks.

Phase 2: Corrective Care/Stabilization Care

During this phase of care your body is beginning to heal itself as it was intended to.  The muscles and tissues are starting to relax and proper alignment throughout the spine is allowing for repair.  We are also normalizing range of motion and biomechanics.  Your neuromuscular control and muscle strength is improving.  This phase is typical to need care 2-3 times per week for 4 weeks.

Phase 3:  Wellness Care

This phase takes place once your body has healed and is maintaining good health.  You will maintain a high level of ability and prevent tissue contracture and reoccurrence of injury.  This phase is normally a quick visit 1-4 times per month depending on your lifestyle and goals.
